Overview

In North America the TF-series appeared in 1988 under the simple name "Isuzu Pickup", replacing the P'up. It was assembled in Lafayette, Indiana and was sold worldwide under many badges (Chevrolet LUV in South America, Honda Tourmaster, Opel Campo and Holden Rodeo).

The US engine list was short: a 96-hp 2.3-liter four (4ZD1), a 120-PS 2.6-liter four (4ZE1) and, for 1991-1994, GM's 3.1-liter LG6 V6 making 120 hp and 170 lb-ft. The 2.3-liter holds the distinction of being the last carbureted passenger-vehicle engine sold new in the US (1994 model year). A heavier one-tonne work version also existed.

Isuzu replaced the TF with the S-10-based Hombre in 1996.
